Who we are

Our Story

Matador Wrestling Club began in 2020, right before the world was turned upside down by the pandemic. Even in uncertain times, our purpose was clear — and it still is today:

To grow the sport of wrestling in Yuma County and help anyone willing to work become the best version of themselves.

We’re more than just a wrestling club. We teach grit, commitment, discipline, and a growth mindset that serve kids far beyond the mat. Whether they wrestle for one season or pursue the sport at the next level, our athletes leave with character that lasts a lifetime.

Through elite technique, a love for hard work, and a strong foundation of values, MWC is proud to represent Yuma County and put us on the national map
